"Unlearning God" by Philip Gulley

This book will be challenging for some, fascinating for others, but spiritually thought provoking for all. Gulley was raised by a Baptist father and Roman Catholic mother; he had Jehovah Witness neighbors and several other formative religious experience that shaped him into the Quaker pastor he became. The book challenges readers to examine why they believe what they believe and allows one to wrestle with the religious structures that have shaped us.

Participants should be prepared to attend regularly, to read the assigned chapter(s) in advance, and be committed to learning from each other even when we may disagree. The study will begin at 7 PM on October 5 and the fall session ends November 16.
